VersePDF + WiseSuite System Description
This page describes user-facing capabilities and boundaries without publishing internal processing-component or infrastructure implementation details. It supersedes older hosted capability descriptions as features have been added and hardened.
Wise Office core
Wise Office is the primary editable-document experience inside Wise Workspace for Wise Docs, Wise Sheets, Wise Slides and Wise Publish.
Wise Docs edits modern DOCX documents directly and saves supported edits back to DOCX without silently routing the document through PDF.
Wise Sheets edits XLSX cells and formatting directly, supports formulas, keyboard navigation, selections, fills, borders, alignment and same-format XLSX saving.
Wise Slides edits PPTX text and objects directly, including text boxes, images, shapes, object arrangement, slideshow features and supported presentation properties.
Wise Publish provides freeform page design, editable templates, layers, grouping, multi-page layouts, variable-data personalization and export workflows.
PDF files remain on the protected PDF viewing/editing and final-PDF workflow rather than being treated as Office documents.
Save All handles unsaved open documents individually so each document follows the browser or operating system's authorized save flow.
Automate with Code · Multi-language document automation
The automation dialog shows the accepted language modes, compatibility limits and safety model before code is checked or run.
Automate with Code is available in Wise Docs, Wise Sheets, Wise Slides and Wise Publish.
Accepted modes are Wise Script, Python, JavaScript, VBA-style compatibility syntax and Shell-style document commands.
Wise Script remains the built-in document language; Python and JavaScript use isolated document-only runtimes; VBA-style translates familiar syntax into the protected Wise Script model; Shell-style is a safe command-line-like syntax and never runs an operating-system shell.
No automation mode exposes unrestricted network access, page DOM access, browser storage, host filesystem access or server arbitrary-code execution.
Scripts can use high-level document helpers and advanced document-model access, so automation is not limited to a fixed list of predefined examples.
Check Code analyzes the exact current source and selected language; editing the source or changing language after a successful check requires checking again before it can run.
Preview Changes executes against staged document state without committing changes.
Run Automation commits only after the automation completes successfully, requests the selected language's apply operation, and passes the applicable structural validation.
Pasted automation is not automatically persisted as a macro or automatic trigger.
Wise Office Design Studio
Design features are layered onto each direct editor while format-specific limits remain explicit.
Searchable, format-aware templates for Docs, Sheets, Slides and Publish, including practical print-layout starting points.
Wise Publish includes editable templates for common business, event, promotional, identity, publication and large-format layouts.
Page-size controls support standard presets and custom dimensions. Large-format artwork can use a practical editing scale while retaining intended final dimensions.
Device-local Brand Kit settings can store selected colours, fonts and an optional logo for reuse in supported design workflows.
Charts, shapes, text, images, QR codes, signatures, stamps and logos can be inserted through the supported editor-specific pathways.
Wise Slides and Wise Publish provide object arrangement and layering controls; Wise Publish also provides grouping, multi-select, snapping and alignment tools.
Wise Publish provides undo/redo, multi-page operations, resizing, opacity, image effects, background removal, PDF export and current-page image export.
Wise Publish variable data can replace tagged text and supported image placeholders from structured rows for badges, certificates, cards and similar batches.
Accessibility and print-readiness panels are deterministic design checks and do not claim legal accessibility certification, professional colour proofing or printer certification.
Freehand Ink is committed through the document's supported insertion path instead of remaining temporary browser-only annotation state.

The shared Insert ribbon routes each action to the active editor's supported document representation instead of pretending every format supports the same underlying behavior.

Self-hosted processing and privacy posture
Production document-AI processing is self-hosted within VersePDF-controlled infrastructure.
Normal production document-AI requests are designed not to route uploaded document content or document-AI prompts to third-party AI model APIs.
Optional external integrations are separate, purpose-specific features and are not part of the normal private document-AI path.
Uploaded server-processed files are temporary by default, subject to the retention exceptions and user-controlled saved features described in the Privacy Policy.
API keys, task ownership, upload checks, rate limits and plan entitlements are enforced separately for browser, Developer API and Enterprise API access.
Developer and Enterprise APIs
Developer API: separate API keys and plans for supported public document and platform tools, with asynchronous task status and download endpoints.
Enterprise Automation API: separate Enterprise credentials, professional-environment document automation, usage controls, task status and secure result download.
API-enabled Enterprise plans also expose the supported production tool catalog through Enterprise authentication, without exposing internal workspace-only operations.
Enterprise API metadata endpoints provide the enabled environments, supported tool catalog, usage visibility and capability contract for the authenticated organization.
Automate with Code is not converted into a remote arbitrary-code API; all accepted automation modes remain sandboxed document-local features.
Files supported by Wise Workspace
“Same-format Save” means Wise Workspace can save supported edits back into that format without silently converting it through PDF.

Professional fidelity and standards boundary
Wise Office does not claim feature parity with every desktop publishing/office product, professional colour-proofing certification, legal accessibility certification or real-time multiplayer collaboration. Automated checks and custom document automation can help create and validate documents, but users remain responsible for reviewing important professional outputs.
